Vacation information
Small group tour, ideal for solos & couples:
Small group travel is not large group travel scaled down. It is modelled on independent travel – but with the advantage of a group leader to take care of the itinerary, accommodation and tickets, and dealing with the language. It’s easy to tick off the big sights independently – but finding those one-off experiences, local festivals, traveling markets and secret viewpoints is almost impossible for someone without the insider knowledge gained from years in the field. Those with a two-week vacation, a small group tour will save valuable planning time.
Dietary requirements:
We can cater for vegetarian and vegan diets.

Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
Planet
The distances travelled on this trip are large, so when traveling we go by public bus or train where possible, and only by private vehicles where necessary. In addition to this, we keep the size of the coach to a minimum, so rather than using gas guzzling 40-50 seaters we opt for more environmental friendly 15-25 seat coaches that use less fuel and therefore admit less carbon.Taking care of where we visit for now and the future is an important aspect to our trip. The local Leaders actively encourage everyone to refill their reusable water bottles with the local, drinkable tap water. In addition, they ask that travelers not only collect their own waste and dispose of it in a suitable manner, but also rubbish they find along paths to ensure the environment is unharmed and left as it should be.
As a travel company we are acutely aware of our impact on the environment. All of our tours display a carbon footprint, and we strive to reduce our emissions by regularly reviewing our tours and embracing low-impact styles of travel such as trains, public buses or walking – which offer the added benefit of getting a closer connection with the destination and local community.
We strive to support nature and biodiversity through protection and regeneration projects, and for every customer that travels with us we make a donation to Rewilding Britain and Cool Earth.
We encourage customers to avoid single-use plastic on tour, and our leaders give advice on refill points each day. All of our tour leaders are provided with a Water-to-Go bottle, allowing them to drink safe water from any source when it’s not possible to fill up from a tap.

Authentic local flavours and cuisine are all part of visiting Slovenia, and our local Leaders help to arrange meals in small, family-owned restaurants which are frequented by locals. This means money is fed into the local community, but you also get the real experience and enjoy the tastes that Slovenia has to offer.Another way to support local artisans is through the visits to Piran Saltworks and the markets in Ljubljana and Piran. Here, you can buy local delicacies such as salt, olives, pumpkin oil, wine and honey which means they can continue to produce these in their traditional ways.
Our local leaders are the heart of tours. They bring passion and unrivalled knowledge of the destinations and communities that we visit. Their guidance ensures we observe the cultural norms in a destination, they act as a bridge between travelers and the local community and ensure that tourism is a positive experience for both host and guest. We believe in supporting local; staying in locally-run hotels, exploring markets, buying snacks from street vendors, and by doing this we add money to the local economy and enhance our connection with the local community.
