Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

At our travel agency, we believe in responsible tourism, which means that we strive to create tours that have a positive impact on the environment.

All the tours and activities included in this package have been designed to minimize any negative impact on the environment. For example, the hiking tours are conducted in small groups, and the guides follow established trails to prevent damage to fragile ecosystems.

n the Amazon section of the tour, we work with local communities to provide eco-friendly accommodations and tours that have minimal impact on the surrounding environment. Our guides are all trained in eco-tourism and have a deep understanding of the importance of preserving the Amazon rainforest. guests will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of the rainforest and the unique ecosystems that exist within it. They will be encouraged to observe and appreciate the natural beauty around them without disturbing any wildlife or plants. We also promote responsible waste management and encourage guests to take any non-biodegradable waste back with them.

In the coffee region of Antioquia, we visit coffee farms that practice sustainable agriculture and are committed to reducing their carbon footprint. Our guests will have the opportunity to learn about the entire coffee-growing process and see how farmers work to protect and preserve the natural environment.

In Nuquí, we work with La Bayka eco-lodge, a sustainable accommodation that promotes responsible travel by reducing waste, conserving water, and using renewable energy sources. Our guests will also have the opportunity to visit the Cascada del Amor waterfall and the Thermal Hot Springs, which are both natural wonders that have been preserved for generations.

The whale-watching tour is conducted in accordance with the regulations set by the local authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of the whales. Guests will be educated about the importance of protecting these magnificent creatures and their natural habitats.

People

We strongly believe in responsible travel, which includes promoting cultural understanding and respect. We strive to create immersive experiences that allow our clients to connect with the local communities and learn about their traditions and customs.

The Amazon region is home to many indigenous communities that have a deep connection to the natural environment. Our clients will have the opportunity to visit their villages, participate in their daily activities, and learn about their cultural heritage. By engaging with these communities and supporting their livelihoods through responsible tourism practices, we are helping to preserve their cultural heritage for future generations.

During the tour of the fruit market in Medellin and the visit to the coffee farm in Antioquia, travelers will have the opportunity to taste and learn about local fruits that are an important part of Colombian culture. By participating in these activities, travelers are supporting local farmers and businesses that rely on the sale of fruits and other agricultural products.

Our guided tour of Comuna 13 not only offers a glimpse into the history and culture of this vibrant community but also supports the local economy. We work with local tour guides who are knowledgeable about the area and help to promote sustainable tourism practices.

In addition to these activities, we also work with locally owned and operated accommodations, restaurants, and transportation providers. By doing so, we are supporting the local economy and helping to create sustainable practices.
