The chefs source local ingredients where possible and prefer short supply chains which in turn support the local community. The InterContinental Hotel encourages skilled local artisans by purchasing their handicrafts, including coconut frond baskets, traditional tifaifai bedspreads and vibrant painted pareos.

In support of the island's businesses and artisans, the hotel prides itself in sourcing supplies and ingredients as locally as possible, including from our staff’s family farms and shops to ensure income goes back into the local community.
