At Valley of the Kings buy a ticket for Ramses V,VI if not included in tours and if guide says not enough time scrap one of the included tombs.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
A little, we sure doled out a ton of money on tips.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Hard to decide between Petra/Wadi Rum and our guide in Egypt, Sherif. Both were way beyond my expectations2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
As someone who usually researches, plans, and books every detail of our family vacations myself, it would have been impossible to pull all these incredible experiences together. This was worth every cent- don’t hesitate.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We definitely did things that benefitted local people, from a small family lunch to a homestay to staying in locally owned hotels (for the most part) instead of huge global chains. However, I wouldn’t exactly characterize it as a “green” trip with all the driving in buses and the flight to Cairo and having to drink bottled water. I’m also aware that those elements could not have been avoided, given the infrastructure and non-drinkable water in both countries. But we definitely spent our money locally and directly as much as possible.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
This was one of our best trips, without a doubt. From the beauty, hospitality, and incredible food in Jordan to the jaw-dropping ancient sites of Egypt illuminated by our hilarious and passionate, knowledgeable guide Sherif, I have no regrets.Holiday Reviews
