1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The wildlife was the highlight; so varied, so close, so great to see them in the natural environments. Our guides were so knowledgeable and patient, waiting while we just observed and answering so many questions.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
We went in mid-September, a great time to go because it was less busy with other people but still plenty of wildlife. Don't spend too much time looking through a camera lens, be sure to appreciate it all live and in real time. We recommend doing a Walking Safari if you have the chance so you get to learn more about the land, culture, plants, and small wildlife. Also, don't skip sunrise drives! So amazing, the colors bleeding out across vast landscapes. Expect excellent service from many friendly people including the travel agents who were quick to reply to e-mails and communicated well about what to expect from the vacation.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The Govenor's group employs many Kenyans and supports wildlife conservation areas and programs and they also support local community schools. There were opportunities to buy local crafts. The guides and staff were happy to talk about life in Kenya and share about the different parts of the country they were from.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
This was a 'bucket list' trip for us and the whole experience was amazing, worth the luxury pricing. It was a treat to spend every day outdoors seeing the birds and animals and a treat to enjoy the lovely properties, food, and friendly staff.Holiday Reviews
