1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Probably the most amazing part was walking down from the desert highlands into increasingly amazing views of the red mountain range within which Petra is 'buried'. The entrance by the back exit to Petra was incredible and unforgettable. But there was so much on every day which was fantastic - wonderful views, well paced walks, lunches overlooking spectacular views and then later the Wadi Rum desert with the brightest stars I've ever seen.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
You are walking for five days and four of those are pretty off grid. During that time we were attended Bedouin hosts who set up camp for us, but you are out in the middle of nowhere so prepare for the food to be pretty similar each day. I loved it - fresh baked flatbreads, hummus, tomatoes, fruit, selection of juices and so on, plus freshly made tea brewed up on a fire made in just for the purpose - but prepare for lack of variety. The walking was perfect, but they are long days and there's a fair amount of ascent and descent, so make sure you are reasonably fit. We were mainly an older group (50/60 +) and we were all fine, but we were also all pretty used to long walking routes so just bear that in mind.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
It certainly seemed to involve and engage locals - our guide, Mohammed, knew everybody and got us into the most amazing spots to camp.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
A really wonderful experience and immaculately organised - right down to pick up from the hotel through to being met in the middle of a desert with a picnic under the lee of a cliff.Azhar Hussain review 30 Dec 2021
