1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The amazing views, camping in some inspiring places and traversing the more difficult sections of the path, with their chains/cables for assistance.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be prepared. Carrying a full backpacking rucksack up 1500m or through exposed sections of path is physically challenging. Also, be ready for weather extremes. Although mostly lovely for us, when it rains, it rains!3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. While spending money in the area, we left the environment pretty much exactly as we found it.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Trekking through the Transylvania mountains amongst the flora ! Seeing a bear at a hide was thrilling !2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Make sure you are prepared with good walking gear and read all tour operator information3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes . We used local taxi services, local guide for bear watching, stayed in local guest houses, used local restaurants and foods. Walking is a great means of transport !4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

We loved staying in local guest houses. The food and wine was locally sourced also.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
"My wife and I took this tour with this local operator and had a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish. Marian was very helpful in answering any questions we had and even sorting out some last minute equipment for us. The routes and accommodation were great; we loved staying in the local guesthouses and eating some very welcome home cooked food every day. Finally, our guide Bogdan absolutely made our trip. We enjoyed his enthusiasm, experience, extensive knowledge of Romanian history and culture and our wide- ranging dinner conversations!
