Reviews for Uzbekistan Silk Road vacation

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Carpet buying in Isfahan was truly a great experience. We laughed so much with our guide and the carpet sellers and spent a good couple of hours drinking tea and learning about the carpets. Also, the attention that we received from the friendly and hospitable locals was really lovely.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Forget all the political info you see on the news and go and enjoy yourself. Having travelled to many countries, I can truly say that we have never felt safer or more welcome than we did in Iran. Having the visa in place before arrival and having the correct clothing for ladies before traveling will make your arrival very easy.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Whilst the vacation certainly benefitted the locals, I'm not sure that there was a great effect on reducing environmental impacts or supporting conservation. The guide / driver did have a car that ran on CNG so that is better for the environment then standard diesel / petrol but we did drive for over 1800km so maybe train travel for some sections could be considered4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Absolutely excellent. We had a fantastic time.Holiday Reviews
