We loved the adventure of climbing in and around the Atlas Mountains as well as meeting to locals2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be flexible and grateful for everything that these people do for you. The guides are truly wonderful, hardworking and genuine people3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Absolutely, our guides live in the villages around Toubkal and know every inch of it. They work hard to support their families and communities4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Reaching the summit of Toubkal was a very rewarding experience, it had been a tough climb, having never used crampons before, but our guide Omar was excellent he always encouraged us and allowed me to dictate the pace- I was the slowest member of the party! Haggling in the souks was also fun, we did not find the sellers aggressive or pushy as they are sometimes described.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be prepared for long days of walking, you need to have stamina, although the altitude was not the highest we have trekkked the distances involved in getting to the top from the base are considerable - proper gear for both hot and cold conditions should be packed- it gets cold at night- definitely do some physical training before hand I would think I was moderately fit3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes it is clear that local providers are intrinsic to your experience- we have always tried to book vacations where the locals benefit the most from our visit. The people are gracious they obviously like to get tips and always showed their appreciation.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent, very well organised, we were never anxious, we enjoyed the people, the scenery and food were great. It is clear that the locals are committed to preserving their environment and want to give their clients an excellent experience. Transfers were excellent, very reliable and comfortable. It is clear that there is good teamwork between everyone and Responsible travel we will definitely book with you again for another adventure.Holiday Reviews
