Reviews for Christmas or New Year 2023 in Lapland
Gilda Stuart review 5 Jan 2024
My review is all great for everything, especially Riitta's exceptional organisation (she was available when we needed help) and the weather(minus 26 to minus 40). We did snowshoeing, dogsledding, cross country skiing, quinzhee(igloo building), kick sledding, reindeer sleigh riding and farm, survival skills, sauna and snow rolling, jacuzzi soaking, sami village and culture, igloo overnighting, glass roof cabin overnighting, eating, aurora sighting, traveling....Cathy Faruqi review 4 Jan 2023
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
We particularly enjoyed going out with the husky sleds and Reindeers. The tours we went on were 3-4 hours long rather than short tasters. Overall everyone was so friendly and helpful , I really felt they enjoyed what they were doing and wanted us to have a good time.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Book directly with the tour operator, the agent we had , Riitta Kiukas , was very helpful from creating a bespoke package for us right through to quick responses to queries while we were away.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The various tours / activities we went on were all with small local, often family run businesses. The Reindeer safari we went on was run by a family who had been working with Reindeers for generations and seemed thankful tourism had given them another way of continuing their way of life.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Wool! If you go in the winter you will want to have many layers and lots of wool.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. I feel I made a contribution to local businesses while I was in Finland. The lodge I stayed at near Ivalo was very environmentally friendly and aware of the impact we all have on the environment.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
I would rate this vacation a 9.5 out of 10. It was incredible and I would encourage anyone to visit Finland.Tamsyn Mclean review 5 Jan 2020
