1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Great guide and superb group of people on very well organised tour. Saw so many wonderful sights very difficult to pick one highlight however Petra and Wadi Rum stood out.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Take good walking shoes and do not forget swimming gear.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
All vacations help the local economies. Conservation is again aided by tourists spending.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Five star, very good accommodation, superb food and probably saw more of Jordan in 8 nights than we thought possible. Would definitely recommend this tour, but it is full on and you need to be reasonably fit and active. Many thanks to the operator.Allison Jack review 21 May 2019
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
All of it! Brilliant, well balanced in terms of travel times and places visited. First class guide and driver and great to be with a small group.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Ask about any choice of tented accommodation available in Wadi Rum. En-suite tents are available for a small price increase and it saves walking to the bathroom block and getting sand in your shoes! Do all the extras - camel rides and Petra by night etc.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent - except for the standard tent accommodation at Wadi Rum - would have appreciated an option to upgrade to an en-suite tent.Patricia Harrison review 6 Nov 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The Wadi rum.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be prepared for a lot of walking. Learn a couple of basis phrases out of politeness for the locals. Be daring explore the streets.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The amount of plastic we generated in a few days between 4 of us was shocking. There has to be some way to cut back on the plastic bottles considering the big problem they have with rubbish littering the country.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
visit to Petra and Wadi Rum2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Would recommend giving yourself an hour or so to get lunch local style and see the souk / mosque for a real feel of Amman rather than rushing off. Hotel in Petra is lovely (request a double room coz we got a twin) - about 5 min drive from the little town near Petra entrance. Day 2 - Petra. Get in early!! We got picked up at 6:30 am and it was perfect, we walked in in complete silence. If you leave it later the tourist hoards arrive! Day 3 - 2 hour drive to Wadi Rum. We got picked up at 9am which was fine. Fyi they don't really give you much info and it would have been good to have known we were going straight into a 4 hour tour (we hadn't eaten much, didn't have much water). The tour is great and you do it at your own pace, we chilled and had tea some places and had quicker stops elsewhere. We tagged on the sunset camel ride after the tour 6-7pm (extra $25 pp - worth it) it was lovely the desert camp is basic but fine, more like canvas shipping containers than tents which means loads of space! We had an en suite one (suggest you request the same - bring your own towels). It gets cold at night so don't forget your long johns!...we had a BBQ dinner and chilled in the dining room for an hour or so (no alcohol on sale) then got an early night. I wouldn't plan to start your desert tour any earlier than 11am or you'll find yourself with quite a lot of free time in the evening (and not a gin in sight...) Day 4 - 4 hour drive to Dead Sea. We got picked up straight after breakfast at 7:30 (brekkie starts at 7 so id grab and go if I were you) and arrived just before midday. Hotel is nice, 5 mins walk or 2 mins shuttle to the sea. I booked us dinner in the Kempinski hotel along the shore - so good, def recommend it! Day 5 - we hung out at the Dead Sea until 4ish to get more sun. You'll have pretty much 'done' Amman in your first half day so would recommend doing the same. But beware, Amman traffic around 5pm is killer so it took us about 90 mins to get to the hotel. The jebel Amman district (20 min taxi from the hotel) is where it's at in Amman in terms of bars / restaurants so lots of options for a nice last night. So, overall the itinerary was spot on. The hotels were all nice, especially the Petra and Dead Sea ones. You can do additional excursions to Madaba or mount Nebo on the way to the Dead Sea from Wadi Rum but we just wanted to get some sun and chill. Maybe an idea through if you have the time. We had a great last night in Amman but another option could be to stay at the Dead Sea for the last night and go straight to the airport from there (it's pretty much the same distance).3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Absolutely, the local company was excellent and you felt there desire to give you the best experience they could.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Lived up to our expectations an would thoroughly recommend it to this who want to maximise there time in Ammna, although adding a few extra days would make the trip even more enjoyable, to give you a little relaxation time.Peter Kerr review 13 Nov 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The view from the Monastery in Petra.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Our driver would suggest what time we had to leave on the following day and often we we didn't arrive at our destination until too late. So check departure times against the programme.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, we used local hotels and local people for our meals.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Very enjoyable.Paul Slater review 20 May 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
It was all very good. The trip was put together very quickly and we travelled as a couple rather than a small group.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
More recommendations on what footwear and clothing would be best for the different areas based on the time of year. The drivers were not always fully briefed on the itinerary. It would have been helpful if we had more specific written details on the daily schedule. Not all the drivers provided background information on Jordon that would have been useful as we did not have time to collect our Lonely Planet Guide. Again this may have been a result of the speed the trip was put together.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
The hotels included international chains but again this may be a result of the speed at which this was organised. Traveling as a couple obviously had a higher carbon footprint but again this may have been a consequence of the short timeline.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Very good we were very impressed with Jordan.Mariam Amode review 22 Apr 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Petra and wadi rum camp was special but we enjoy the whole tour it was beyond our expectations.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
To carry warm clothes depending on time of vacation as we were not prepared for such low temp.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Very good, the guide was great, advised and supported us. We really appreciated it.Julia Smith review 31 Oct 2017
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The desert at Wadi Rum, jeep safari and overnight in a Bedouin camp - not touristy as I had feared! The people were unbelievably friendly and helpful - and not just looking for a tip as in some countries such as Egypt. That was a refreshing change.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
We were glad to overnight at the Dead Sea resorts on the last night so it was just a 45 minute drive to the airport. That's better than ending at the Red Sea, and perhaps having to overnight in Amman.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes, up to a point. Local people benefited for sure, and I was pleased the Jordanian partner was based locally in Petra.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent. The Jordanian tour partner was fantastic, really good itinerary and all delivered.Holiday Reviews
