Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet and people

While the overarching consideration for this itinerary is that it must be accessible to, and provide sensory stimulation for, blind and partially sighted travelers, every effort has been made to use the services of local companies and local family-run businesses wherever possible. The accommodation used in this itinerary includes locally owned hotels in Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Chiang Mai and Phatthalung, homestay accommodation in in Baan Dok Bua and local resort on Koh Sukorn. Meals are taken with local communities, in local, family-run restaurants and at street stalls in a local market. The visit to Ban Dok Bua, in Phayao, an area which receives very few overseas visitors, is a boost to its community-based tourism initiative, putting income into the local economy in exchange for the accommodation, meals, guide services provided, and it Is to be hoped from the sale of local handicrafts. The interest of overseas visitors in their way of life, particularly when those visitors have a disability, also helps to reinforce to community’s dedication to following a sustainable lifestyle.
