1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The visits to the Everest Base Camp and the Potala palace, and the journeys in Gangtey.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

To look for another travel agency and, definitively, avoid the vacation provider.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Not at all.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I have to separate my feelings of frustration related to my experience with the vacation provider (which I rate 2/10) and my feelings of satisfaction related to several of the places we visited (which I rate 8/10). I rate 8/10 and not 10/10 because in Nepal we visited some places which were really far and which could be reached only through very bad long roads, but which didn't deserved that time or efforts (like Pokhara), Besides, earthquakes damages to Kathmandu were, unfortunately, severe in many places.

Thank you very much for your reviews regarding the vacation with us. Our listed vacation trip is for 18 days but we tailor-made your trip for 27 days as per your choice and needs which includes Sikkim & Darjeeling. Later on you and we came to know there was internal problem and you decided to cancel the trip to Darjeeling and then you decided to visit some of the Nepal part.

We made a new vacation trip to include Chitwan, Lumbini, Palpa & Bandipur instead of Sikkim and Darjeeling according to your choice and needs. In the all cities distance is just 3 to 5 hours, you have reached in all cities on time except from Kathmandu to Chitwan but that was not our fault, it was technical problem.

Regarding responsible tourism, we provided you with local guide and local transport in each places even we took you to local restaurants for the food in the all cities. In the Bhutan there is fixed daily price for tourist by Bhutan government and Bhutan Government takes some royalty, it means you are supporting local culture, education and environment.

Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

We have always believed is tourism industry which attempts to make a low impact on the natural environment and local culture. Also helping to generate income and employment for local people. And to promote the conservation of local ecosystems. It is responsible tourism which is both ecologically and culturally sensitive.

The locals have major roles to play in sustainable tourism. It involves locals participating actively and taking responsibility in this tourism industry. During the tour we use local products like; fresh fruits, vegetables, drinks etc. through purchasing from locally sourced providers where they can generate some income for the local community. And we encourage to local Tibetan peoples to sell local handmade authentic handicrafts or simply talk with tourists to give them an authentic image of the local culture.

Most local villages don't have environmentally sound trash management systems. Guides will provide information on how to protect the environment e.g. Do not litter everywhere, pack your garbage out to larger towns or cities and dispose of garbage in proper places. If there is no toilet, dig a hole at least 25cm deep and bury human waste. Burn or bury toilet paper. Never buy products made from endangered wildlife or endangered plants. Avoid bathing or washing clothes in streams, etc. We take only small groups with a maximum of 4 to12 people help to minimize the impact on the environment.

People

We try to maximise our contribution to the local community in Tibet by using local familiar Tibetan guides and drivers who are knowledgeable about local culture. We eat in local restaurants, and stay at standard hotels/lodges operated by local Tibetan people. All hotels/lodges minimise the impact on the environment by using kerosene/gas fuel instead of fire wood.

Most remote schools are financially supported by the government access to learning materials. However, restricted by access to cities to purchase supplies. In some villages, our Tibetan guides have developed the relations with schools and we support by donating an amount of education and health materials to children through Tibetan local guides.

We are in partnership with the registered charity organization “Chhahari Group Nepal”, 10% of its profits, goes to charity organisation and also we support educational and medical materials. The organisation has served in Nepalese society since 2001. Most projects funded by them directly benefit the local community who have suffered natural or political issues. Many other projects directly or indirectly benefit our citizens, e.g. Orphanage Home, Community School, Health Camp, scholarship program etc. At the moment we help to run a free community school for very poor families who can't afford to send their kids to school.
