Responsible Travel

As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Planet

Travelers are encouraged to be more focused on Eco-tourism and Green tourism so that they can help to preserve the wildlife and the environment and also help to minimize the negative impact on local cultures.

Before the trek, we will provide a detailed briefing about how to be responsible travelers and minimize the impact on nature and how to preserve the environment and wildlife habitat. For example, we advise not to throw plastic wastages or other wastages everywhere instead use the trash bin, rubbish pit, etc, Do not pluck up flowers and plants on the way, use local tea houses, avoid bathing or washing clothes in the stream, etc. We train and encourage our staff (guide, sherpas, porters) to collect non-disposable wastages found on the way and dispose of them in a proper way. We also recommend our travelers to carry the reusable water bottles and fill them again with boiled water from the lodges to help keep the environment clean from plastic bottles.

Our customers are encouraged to implement recycling habits into their daily life as it is one of the most effective ways to help lessen landfill waste, conserve natural resources, save habitats, reduce pollution, cut down on energy consumption, and slow down global warming.

We encourage the local people to avoid deforestation and do more aforestation programs and avoid animals poaching to save the environment and the wildlife habitat. Providing food wastages to domestic animals if possible too. We will also encourage the local people to use kerosene/gas fuel instead of firewood to minimize the impact on the environment.

The group size 5-15 people will be more convenient which can assist to minimize the impact on the environment.

We recognize that flying is not a sustainable form of travel. However as this is a wheelchair accessible trip, it is a more practical way to travel around.

People

We aim to help to increase the living standards of the local people by creating more job opportunities, and sometimes facilitating sponsorship from interested tourists for local people for higher education and to travel abroad

Our travelers will be accommodated in the local standard lodges for overnight stays which are operated by the locals and food will be provided in the same lodge in an authentic way. Travelers can get to select food from the menu provided by the lodge for lunch and dinner but local Nepali cuisine is mostly selected by most travelers. This way we will be contributing to the local economy in an explicit way and develop the lifestyles of the rural area residents.

In some places, the local community separates a certain percentage of the price paid by the travelers in a reserve fund to be used in the development of that area. And this way, we will also be contributing to the development of that particular area. We encourage travelers to use local lodges, local tea houses, purchase local products such as fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, meat, drinks, handlooms products, handicrafts, clothes, etc which will help to generate more income and more employment opportunities for the local people

The guides will explain and accompany the travelers in case there are any local festivals going on (like Dashain, Tihar or Teej Festival ) and help them understand its importance and history so far as possible. If the travelers are interested, a visit to local monasteries can be organized where they can make some donations as financial help to the organizations.

With the help of the tourists, we also support the local community, school, and health post by providing medical materials, toys, educational materials, and some amount as a donation to the kids for their better education and growth.

There will be the use of local manpower who are well trained and experienced such as local English speaking guide and porter with equipped tools and clothes needed during the trek. The loaded carry will be in limit like 20-25 kg and all the field staff will be traveling insured.
